Here's a few updates since I haven't bogged in 2 weeks....

-Got Killer's tickets!!! I paid more than I should have, but it will totally be worth it.

-I've been making more beads at Kenny's

-I ripped out the bag I was knitting so I could start over. It was going to be too wide and not tall enough. I also bought yarn to make the girls rabbit slippers.

-Courtney gave me a mini make-over the other day and I look FABULOUS!! And Kenny loves it too.

-For once in my life I am reading a book that has a better movie. I took Alex to see Coraline last week during vacation and I decided to quickly read the book since it's just over 100 pages. The movie is better, it has more events in it. And btw, that movie is on the verge of too creepy. Good thing young children don't have the cognitive ability to realize how creepy it really is.

-I have realized how small of a group I hang out with, and I'm semi-ok with it. Although there are some people I do miss and need to see soon.

-I'm going to go look at the Grad programs at CCSU next week..yay! Another 2 years of my life that will never end.

Hmm that might be it. I can't wait for St. Patrick's Day!!

Ok that's all for now.

The Crafty Bunch

I have chosen a book. I am reading the sequel to In The Woods, The Likeness. I had started it right after I finished In The Woods back in November but it didn't grab my attention as much and I ended up starting Twilight. But now that I have allowed the story to sit and simmer a bit I have gotten right back into it.

And yet again I am making some lovely beads at Kenny's. Oh and he made me the cutest spoon bookmark. We are quite the crafty bunch aren't we? My knitted bag is coming along nicely. I still have a ways to go but it already looks pretty cool. I'll post pics of all the craftiness later.

Bye for now!

Just dance!

Why is it so hard to lose weight? And can I please as the Weight Gods to not take my boobs when I shed the belly.Thanks. I happen to like them, and I know a few other people that do as well.

Counting calories. Exercising. What more do you want from me? I'm even thinking about joining the gym with Stacy. I do have a treadmill here and my wii fit but maybe if I go to the gym with someone I'll be even more motivated. She already has a Cardio Express membership and i can do a $10 a month with no signed contract, which is nice bc then I'm tied to them for 12 months which would be $20 a month and I would have free tanning. But really? Am I a tanner....no. Oh and I'll get to take any class for free. Yea I think this may be a go. Stac and I will have fun, and I'll get to bug her constantly about dating the asshole, even though I already do that.

Well Wii fit time.

So a bit has happened since the last time I wrote, but not much and nothing too exciting.

I finished Death:A Life.I enjoyed it very much. It was a nice change after reading Twilight. And I must say, I see Death in a whole new light. You wouldn't imagine the things he's been through since creation. It is another book that I recommend. And I've been trying to find it in audio form for Kenny to listen to.

I have picked up a new hobby, all thanks to Kenny's mom. My new hobby is glass bead making. After I got past my initial fear of fire and glass together near me, I loved it. I've made 6 beads so far. Nothing fancy. And nothing very good but it's a start. And we even have mandrels that would allow a bead to fit my Chamilia bracelet, which is fun.

I made all but the blue with the little light blue dots on it, Kenny's mom made that one.

I have also started another new project. I am making a felted bag from the yarn and book I got for Christmas from the "in-laws" I guess is the easiest and down to the point way to write it. So I am very excited about that. And I now have to pick a new book to read from my book shelf. So help me and pick on that isn't rated on my Library thing ( http://www.librarything.com/catalog/invinciblesmile ).

Have a wonderful afternoon. One day down of work, 4 more till vacation.

Stephen King is my hero

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Stephen King's opinion may drive a stake through the heart of "Twilight" author, Stephenie Meyer.

In an interview with USA Weekend, the bestselling author compared Meyer with J.K. Rowling , the author of the Harry Potter series.

According to Stephen, "Both Rowling and Meyer, they're speaking directly to young people... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good."

While Stephen may not be a fan of Stephenie's writing, he understands the appeal of the series.

"People are attracted by the stories, by the pace and in the case of Stephenie Meyer, it's very clear that she's writing to a whole generation of girls and opening up kind of a safe joining of love and sex in those books. It's exciting and it's thrilling and it's not particularly threatening because it's not overtly sexual."

He further explains, "A lot of the physical side of it is conveyed in things like the vampire will touch her forearm or run a hand over skin, and she just flushes all hot and cold. And for girls, that's a shorthand for all the feelings that they're not ready to deal with yet."

It's been awhile...

So it's been a while since I did a real blog. The last two weeks have sure been interesting to say the least. The things I have seen, heard, and felt were like no other. Majority of it all was just shocking. New friends, old friends, drunk friends.

I have been writing a bit in my writing journal. Maybe sometime soon I'll put some stuff on here.

I was in the mood to write when I started this but I have lost my want. I'm sure not having my laptop is part of it, I hate using mom's, but mine should be back by the 13th!

Well I'm going to go finish watching this weekends SNL.
